The Sweetest Girls Weekend in Fredericksburg

Some weekends just hit different - and this fredericksburg girls weekend definitely did. A car full of girls, an overpacked trunk (and back seat 😬), and the kind of playlist that only gets better as the miles roll on. We kicked things off with lunch at Magnolia Table, because obviously we weren't going to skip the Joanna Gaines moment. We sat down, ordered our food (highly recommend the chicken salad croissant) and took our time - the perfect slow start to what ended up being a fast, laughter-filled weekend. By the time we got back on the road, everyone was in full girls' trip mode.

When we finally made it to Fredericksburg, we settled into the cutest Airbnb, dropped our bags, and got ready for dinner at Hondo's on Main. The place was buzzing with live music, twinkly lights, and that small-town kind of charm that makes you want to stay awhile. Between the margaritas, comfort food, and taking pictures to kick off the weekend, it was the perfect first night.

Friday morning started with brunch at Fredericksburg Brunch Co., which lived up to the hype (I'm still thinking about those beignets). We spent the afternoon wandering Main Street, popping into boutiques, buying things we didn't need, and stopping for a quick snack at The Pharmacy on main because we all needed a little mid-day pick-me-up.

By happy hour, we were at Brooke's Bubble Bar - and it was everything you'd imagine: pink, girly, and unapologetically fun. It's one of those places where you can't take a bad photo, and we made sure to test that theory. Dinner at Alla Campagna turned out to be the best surprise - they sat us in a private room, which ended up being exactly what we didn't know we needed. We got to slow down, have real girl talk, and laugh until out cheeks hurt.

Saturday was for wine (obviously). Brooke's Bubble Bar handled our tour and made the day so easy. We visited Baron's Creek Vineyards, Blumenthal Farms Winery, and The Edge Winery - each one just as pretty as the last. Our limo driver, Dub, was basically part of the group by the end. He had the best stories, the most patience, and somehow managed to keep us all on schedule.

We wrapped up the day with drinks at 78624 The Bar, where we showed up in t-shirts with the groom's face on them (and yes, people stared, but it was worth it). The night ended exactly how it should - with pizza, games, and everyone talking over each other in that happy, chaotic way that only happens on weekends like this.

Sunday came way too soon. We cooked breakfast at the Airbnb, packed up, and made a quick lunch stop at Buc-ee's to stretch our legs before finishing the drive home. The car was quieter this time - listening to church and taking the scenic route home - the best way to end the weekend with the girls. It was one of those trips you don't realize you'll miss until its already over.

Weekends like this are the ones that remind me how good it feels to slow down, laugh a little louder, and be surrounded by people who just get you.
